Description

The Seesaw Mechatronics Kit introduces students to controlled motion through a familiar and intuitive mechanism: a seesaw. Powered by a motor and the C2G Mini Microcontroller, the build converts programmed commands into smooth, back-and-forth movement.

At the center of the system is a motor-driven mechanism that lifts and lowers the seesaw arm, allowing students to observe how rotational motion can be translated into oscillating movement. As students assemble and program the model, they gain hands-on experience with actuation, balance, and timing.

This kit is especially effective for teaching cause-and-effect relationships between code and physical motion. Students can experiment with speed, direction, and timing to control how the seesaw moves, reinforcing foundational programming concepts alongside mechanical design principles.

The Seesaw Mechatronics Kit works well across grade levels. Younger learners focus on motion and balance, while older students can extend the build through more precise control and sequencing. The result is a clear, engaging introduction to how mechanical systems respond to programmable inputs.
