Description
Motomo Robot
Product Overview
Motomo is a beginner-friendly robotics kit featuring a motorcycle-style design with powered rear-wheel drive and servo-controlled steering. By separating propulsion and direction, the build provides a clear introduction to coordinated motion in a stable, approachable format.
With integrated sensors and programmable control, Motomo combines movement, steering, and environmental response in a single platform.
Hardware & Drive System
Motomo uses a mixed actuation system similar to real vehicle design:
-
Single DC motor driving the rear wheels
-
Front-mounted servo motor controlling steering angle
-
Line tracking sensor
-
Sonar distance sensor
-
C2G-Mini Microcontroller
The separation of drive and steering allows directional control to be adjusted independently from forward motion.
Code2Grow Compatibility
Motomo connects directly to code2grow.com using the C2G-Mini Microcontroller. Through Windtree’s block-based coding platform, users can program:
-
Motor speed and timing
-
Steering angles
-
Line-following behavior
-
Obstacle detection responses
Commands translate directly into visible mechanical movement and sensor-driven adjustments.
Coordinated Motion & Sensor Control
Motomo supports:
-
Controlled forward and reverse movement
-
Programmable steering control
-
Line tracking navigation
-
Distance-based obstacle response
The combination of motor propulsion, servo steering, and sensor input makes Motomo a balanced platform for early robotics environments.
