Description
Product Overview
Bimo B is a classroom robotics kit designed for students in grades 2–8 who are ready to explore programmable motion and sensor-driven behavior. Students build a compact wheeled robot and experiment with how motors and sensors work together to produce intentional movement.
The design is streamlined and durable, making it easy to assemble while still leaving key components visible. Bimo B balances approachability with flexibility, giving students room to explore, test ideas, and refine their code

Grade Level & Prerequisites
-
Recommended Grades: 2–8
-
Prior Experience: None required
-
Ideal For: Elementary and middle school STEM classes, robotics clubs, and enrichment programs
—
Hardware & Sensors
Bimo B is powered by the C2G-Mini Microcontroller, providing a consistent platform across Windtree robotics products. Students work with:
-
DC motors for controlled movement
-
A compact wheeled chassis
-
Line tracking sensor
-
Sonar sensor for distance-based behavior
The slimmer build makes it easy for students to see how mechanical and electronic components interact.
—
Coding & Control (via code2grow.com)
Using Windtree’s Code2Grow platform at code2grow.com, students program Bimo B with intuitive block-based coding tools.
Students practice:
-
Writing multi-step movement sequences
-
Combining motion with sensor input
-
Creating conditional behaviors using line and distance data
-
Developing simple autonomous navigation routines
The emphasis is on connecting sensor feedback to decision-making in code.
