In our Discovery of Music program, students will have the opportunity to obtain hands-on engagement with musical instruments. Students will be introduced to the world of music and the basics of music theory fundamentals needed to compose music. Students will learn the basic fundamentals of melody, harmony, rhythm, and sound through a straightforward approach to music theory using a portable digital piano.
Through the use of a MIDI digital piano, students will be able to access and apply music technical standards that will not only enhance their practice with visual cues but will encourage and empower them to further their musical exploration.
With the use of an easy accessible digital piano, and a fun approach to music theory, students will be able to apply and enhance musical concepts through lively music and activities. Students will learn how to emotionally express themselves through the composition process. They will also be introduced to the way classical music is used in cinema to evoke emotions from viewers, connecting classical music to their day-to-day lives.
