Coding

Our Mission

The Coding class for grades K-12 is an exciting introduction to the world of programming and technology. Tailored to different age groups, this class takes students on a journey from the basics of computational thinking to more advanced coding languages and problem-solving skills. Through interactive lessons, hands-on projects, and creative coding challenges, students develop a foundation in computer science that prepares them for the digital age. From simple block-based coding in the early grades to more complex programming languages in later years, the Coding class equips students with the skills and confidence to navigate the ever-evolving landscape of technology, fostering innovation and creativity in the next generation of digital pioneers.

  • Learn about computer logic by how a computer understands the world in 1s and 0s.
  • Project LED
  • Students learn how to connect the world to a computer through sensors.
  • Learn how to connect the sensors to a microcontroller and learn the different uses of them.
  • Use sensors to automate machines like opening a door or turning on the lights.
  • Students learn the workings and the challenges to build a self driving car.
  • Besides the hardware of a car, there are hundreds of lines of codes to make sure a car can self drive on its own.
  • Students learn to visualize different situations and how to program them to detect a red light or other objects.
