Students will be able to explore and practice techniques with a variety of art materials and utilize different forms of mediums.

Students will be able to work collaboratively to create artistic ceramic works with a range of materials and mediums.
1.MA:Pr4. Combine varied academic, arts, and media content in media artworks, such as a narrated science animation.
Students will be inspired while interacting with different forms of arts, media, and many artistic creations to influence their ceramic creations.
2.VA:Cr2.1. Experiment with various materials and tools to explore personal interests in a work of art or design.
Students will be given the skill and ability to utilize different materials to influence their clay work of art.
4.VA:Cr1.1. Brainstorm individual and collaborative approaches to a creative art or design problem.
Students will be able to collaborate to overcome creative and design problems to further enhance their ceramic knowledge.
4.MA:Cr3. Demonstrate intentional effect in refining media artworks, emphasizing elements for a purpose.
There will be opportunities where the students can enhance and refine their works to further convey meaning and purpose onto a three dimensional shape.
7.MA:Cr2. Design, propose, and evaluate artistic ideas, plans, prototypes, and production processes for media arts productions, considering expressive intent and resources.
The design process will be emphasized to enhance students’ expression and use of resources to further develop their ceramic projects.
8.VA:Cr1.1. Document early stages of the creative process visually and/or verbally in traditional or contemporary media.
Students will create projects that are crucial to the early stages of the creative process in ceramics.
8.MA:Pr6. Design the presentation and distribution of media artworks through multiple formats and/or contexts considering previous results on personal growth and external effects.
Throughout the class there will be scaffolding of students skills, knowledge, and understanding of ceramics while considering their overall growth in this timeframe.
