Ceramics is an exciting, hand-on class that allows young artists to explore the art of working with clay. Students will be challenged to create ceramic projects that encourage them to think critically about the artistic choices they make, considering the visual impact, functionality, and emotional impact of their artwork. Students will learn about the design process of hand-building techniques including pinch, coil, scoring and more. Students will also be introduced to the pottery wheel, allowing them to create symmetrical ceramic art.
